Taylor’s Story

Hi, my name is Taylor ! I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, south side to be exact. I attended Chicago High School For The Arts, majoring in dance, which is another passion of mine. I attended Western Michigan University majoring in Education and Human Development and minoring in dance. I plan to obtain my master’s and doctorate in Occupational Therapy within the next four years.

Literature has always been one of my favorite subjects. I remember the first series I was ever introduced to was Junie B Jones, which shaped my love for reading. As a young girl, flipping through pages to get the end of the book was something I did eagerly and frequently. Now in a way, reading makes me feel more connected to my younger self and I’m happy to be able to continue a tradition I created. I’m so excited to see what Beauty & The Books brings to Joy and I, and I hope you’re excited too.. Thank you for joining us and I look forward to reading with some amazing people.
